"Taking the leap" is the biggest part. It reminds me of one of Dr. Lewis's last pieces of advice, "Unless you have the drive and determination to become successful in your career, no amount of tips will help you succeed"
Lots of other things, like identification of a goal, assembly of a team, and organization, will help with success. But "taking the leap" is what distinguishes good plans that worked from good plans that never began. Once you take the leap, with whatever amount of preparation you have (ignore that perfectionism!), you'll find yourself working hard to fill in any gaps that might have originally existed.
