Every spa has its own set of rules that you should be sure to read and adhere to, but there are universal tips a spa-goer should know.
Shut off the cell.
You’re going to a spa to get away from reality, and those around you are too—don’t remind them of the outside world with your beeping cell phone or noisy phone conversations. Leave all tech gadgets in your room, and use them in private away from other guests.
Speak up.
Be sure to tell your spa technician, massage therapist, etc. if you have any medical conditions, allergies, muscle aches or pains, or any other concerns before undergoing treatments. They are trained professionals and will want to make adjustments based on your needs.
Go early.
Arrive to your spa treatments at least 20-30 minutes early. It will give you a chance to change into your robe and spend some time in the relaxation area, so you can start to unwind and fully enjoy your services.
Don’t rush.
After your treatment, give yourself some time to savor the relaxation you may be feeling. It’s okay to do nothing!
