Today, most women want or need to work outside of the home—and after decades in the work force, women have come to realize that you can't "have it all." Though faced with a difficult set of trade-offs, many women are satisfied with the choices they have made and live fulfilling lives.

Choices Over A Lifetime looks at the decisions different women have made about how they navigate between their work and personal lives. The half-hour documentary brings together a diverse group from across the generations—pioneers, baby boomers and member of generations X and Y.

Featured are: Suzie Narducci, (above, middle with her family) a pioneer in the information technology industry for nearly three decades; Suzie's daughter, Whitney, who has taken to heart her mother's struggles and triumphs when attempting to shape her own family life and career as an artist; Renée Fleming, (above, left) opera singer and mother of two children; Susan Taylor, (above, right) editorial director of Essence magazine; Beth Nolan, former White House counsel to President Clinton; and Judith Shapiro, president of Barnard College, who peppers personal testimony with expert commentary on how attitudes and social structures affect women's lives.
