Isn't it wonderful to see that the Oscars demonstrated being gender blind (in the recognition of Best Director) and color blind (and the recognition of best supporting actress category).  Small movements and meaningful movements!   What are your thoughts?

!

What an exciting show to watch this year! So many great winners and such a variety of films. Kathryn Bigelow is an inspriartion to young filmakers everywhere. 'The Hurt Locker' is one tough tale to tell, but she does so brilliantly, bringing great heart to the story. I think all the films this year told deeply personal stories, and it was a pleasure to see them recognized!
