In the past few years, scandal after scandal has been covered in the media. We've seen this in business, sports, politics, even religion, and many people have become disillusioned. But the news is not all bad. For every scandal that makes the headlines, there are instances of people acting with integrity—and quietly but surely, they are shaping the world.
The half-hour documentary, The Power of Integrity, looks at the positive side of this story. Rather than probing the cause of the scandals, the show asks, "What gets people to do the "right" thing?" And more importantly, how can we pass on the ideals that we most admire to future generations?

The program profiles Jennifer Granholm, the first female governor of Michigan; Angela Ahrendts, Executive VP at Liz Claiborne Inc.; and Gregg Behr, Stacey Abrams, and Pai-Ling Yin, three members of The Content of Our Character Project, a national initiative to promote a dialogue on ethics. Also featured are: Joseph Badaracco, a Harvard Business School professor, and his students; and renowned violinist Itzhak Perlman and his wife, Toby.
The Power of Integrity is a production of Creative Expansions, Inc. The program is presented by KCTS/Seattle Public Television and distributed by American Public Television (APT). Executive Producer/Host: Helene Lerner. Senior producers: Marilyn Kaskel and Suzanne Mitchell (Kas-kel Electric Productions). Producer: Natalie Reuss. Director of Photography: Mauro Brattolli. Editor: R. A. Fedde.
