American model Chrissy Teigen and singer John Legend are in “deep pain” after losing their third baby, Jack, due to pregnancy-related complications.
Teigen, who was hospitalized earlier this week for a weak and bleeding placenta shared via Twitter about the loss of her unborn baby.
Both Teigen and Legend posted on their verified Twitter accounts, “We are shocked and in the kind of deep pain you only hear about, the kind of pain we’ve never felt before.”
On Instagram, she posted a black and white photo of herself in the hospital bed with her hands clasped in what seems to be a prayer.
Her first two children were conceived through in Vitro fertilization, but this particular pregnancy happened naturally, something that Teigen did not believe was possible for her.
While the couple was set on naming the baby after the delivery, Teigen and Legend were already naming the baby boy, Jack.
Crushed, Teigen said, “He will always be Jack to us. Jack worked so hard to be a part of our little family, and he will be, forever.”
Other celebrities have shown their support for Teigen and Legend’s loss.
Gabrielle Union, an American actress most notably known for her role in She’s All That and 10 Things I Hate About You, wrote, “We love you guys so much and we will be here for whatever y’all need. Always.”
Hailey Beiber, model, and wife of Justin Beiber, wrote, “I’m so, so sorry. Thinking of you and John, praying for you guys and sending you so much love during this time.”
