5 Signs Your Gut Is Telling You They're Dangerous (Listen to It)

Your gut is the one thing that will always have your back. It’s the one friend who always has advice that we don’t take right away. It’s the mom whose wise words always come to our rescue, no matter how much we think we know. Often neglected and pushed aside, your gut deserves some attention because of these five signs.

You feel uneasy
This person can turn on a dime. One minute they’re dishing gossip about someone or just straight up bad-mouthing them, the next minute it’s probably you that they’re dragging under the bus. If you feel uneasy around them, that’s probably your cue to leave; you don’t want to be a part of their slander.

You’re disgusted by them
They seemed cool in the beginning but now it’s crystal clear how mean they can be, and it makes you sick. If someone makes you feel this way, hanging out with them is a big no-no.

You’re stressed around them
This person gives off bad vibes and they’re pessimistic about everything. Instead of having a good time together, you’re constantly trying to find a way to lift their spirits. That usually fails, putting you in a bad mood too. Hanging out with them is more of a job than a time for joy.

You cringe
Maybe this person is so stuck up or self-centered that you can’t help but roll your eyes. If you can’t take them seriously, why be around them? Don’t waste your time on someone who thinks the sun sets and rises for them.

You avoid them
You’re with a group of friends, but there’s that one person you avoid talking to at all costs. Your past experiences with them haven’t been pleasant, and you don’t appreciate their company anymore. If your mood dips by being around them–let alone thinking of them–that’s your gut telling you to keep your distance.
