Joseph Baena, the son of Arnold Schwarzenegger by Mildred Patricia Baena, is not expecting to see a dime of his father’s nearly $450 million fortune. Baena, however, is perfectly happy with that arrangement.
“My dad is old-school; he doesn’t believe in handouts. He believes hard work pays off, and so do I,” Baena said. “I love the word honor, and I’m very prideful in the sense that if I use my dad’s contacts or ask him for favors, I wonder what honor is that gonna bring me?”
While Baena is also a professional bodybuilder and actor, he says that “there are so many other things that I care about more than fitness. My lifestyle, my family, my friends, having fun at work. There’s a balance. It’s not just fitness all the time.”
He also says that while he and his father are quite close, he appreciates the distance to carve out his own identity.
