UPDATE 11/01/2023: Details of Matthew Perry’s autopsy confirm that the actor did not have fentanyl or methamphetamine in his system at the time of his death.
While the exact cause of death for Perry has been deferred until further testing, the star passed away in his hot tub on October 28th, 2023.
ORIGINAL ARTICLE: Jennifer Aniston, Lisa Kudrow, Courtney Cox, Matt LeBlanc, and David Schwimmer have released a joint-statement mourning their friend and co-star, Matthew Perry, after he passed away at the age of 54. The statement read:
“We are all so utterly devastated by the loss of Matthew. We were more than just cast mates. We are a family,” their statement reads. “There is so much to say, but right now we’re going to take a moment to grieve and process this unfathomable loss. In time we will say more, as and when we are able. For now, our thoughts and our love are with Matty’s family, his friends, and everyone who loved him around the world.”
Perry’s exact cause of death has been deferred, but he passed after drowning in his hot tub at home.
