Kelly Clarkson has a strange connection to the recent Taylor Swift mania.
After Swift’s original recordings were purchased by Scooter Braun, Clarkson encouraged Swift to re-record her music, saying that she would be more than happy to support her twice. She may have been the first person to give Swift the idea… at least, that’s what her gratitude would suggest!
”She just sent me flowers. She’s so nice. She did,” Clarkson said, saying that Swift “was like, ‘Every time I release something’ — because she just did 1989. I got that really cute cardigan, too.”
That’s right: Taylor Swift sends Kelly Clarkson a bouquet of flowers for each re-recording. Clarkson tweeted in 2019:
