James Brolin has recently revealed in interview with Gayle King that he was celibate for three years, before marrying Barbra Streisand.
“I had been, literally it’s a wild word, but I had been celibate for three years, saying ‘who needs this,'” he said, which Streisand responded to with a quick, “you’re not supposed to tell that!”
“I had not had any interest in getting involved in a lousy situation,” Brolin said, of previous partners, later admitting that “marrying you [Streisand] was just the best thing I’ve ever done,” he said in his message. “I asked you three times.”
The pair have been together twenty-five years.
