Mark Wahlberg is opening up about a great tragedy in his life: the loss of his mother.
“The first phone call that I made every single day for the last 10 years, was to my mom. And I don’t get to make that phone call anymore,” Wahlberg said. “And it’s heartbreaking.”
Wahlberg’s mother, Alma, would often tell her nine children to “call their mother!” “Mark calls me from all over the world. Every single day. I don’t care if it’s 3 o’clock in the morning!” she told Today.
Alma inspired Mark’s deep faith, with which he leads his life. While Mark doesn’t force his belief system upon his children, he is encouraging them to follow him in the Catholic faith.
