The 77-year-old American actress was spotted attending her twin granddaughter’s graduation yet sat and left separately from the rest of the family. This public appearance comes after a ongoing legal battle between Presley, her granddaughter Riley Keough and the twin’s father Michael Lockwood regarding Lisa Marie Presley’s estate.
Lisa Marie tragically passed on January 12th 2023 at the age of 54 leaving behind her mother, her twin daughters, Riley Keough. Presley joined her son Benjamin Keough on the other side after Benjamin passed away in July 2020. Riley Keough, Lisa Marie’s first and eldest daughter, revealed that her mother would be laid to rest next to her late brother
Presley is not the only one to make a public appearance as it’s reported that Riley Keough made her first public appearance since her mother’s trust settlement was closed. The Daisy Jones & The Six actress, 33, wore a Dior Spring-Summer 2023 tulle dress as she attended the Dior Cruise 2024 event which took place in Mexico City. However, Keough was not seen at her twin sister’s graduation.
Following the conclusion of the trust’s settlement, Priscilla Presley revealed to ET that she was done and ready to move on; pushing back on the media’s narrative that a lawsuit was filed against her granddaughter, Keough. Regarding moving forward Presley was quoted as saying, “My family and I hope that everyone will grant us the privacy we have needed to properly grieve Lisa Marie and spend personal time together. We love and appreciate all of you and the Presley family is stronger than ever.”
Media attorney Mitra Ahouraian explained that the trust settlement wasn’t just over who inherited Lisa Marie’s money, rather who would be the one making sure the money and Graceland estate were protected moving forward. Priscilla contested the trust agreement after it came to light that Riley and her late brother were named co-trustees of Lisa Marie’s trust in 2016.
Despite the contest of the trust, Priscilla Presley has denied all rumors of a feud with granddaughter Riley Keough. “They weren’t true,” Priscilla said regarding the rumors about her and her granddaughter’s relationship during a U.K Q&A event called An Evening to Remember With PriscillaPresley. She added that the gossip was “very brief” and warned fans to not believe what had been said.
During the Q&A event, spectator Jackie Howe reported to ET that Prsicilla spoke highly of her granddaughter and expressed her pride regarding her granddaughter’s role in Daisy Jones & The Six. Howe said, “[Priscilla] actually said, ‘I am really proud of her. Really proud of what she’s achieved.’ You could see it in the face, how proud she was with the family.”
