In a surprising twist of fate, the most watched television series for the month of July was cancelled almost five years ago.
The show, which stars a member of the royal family, is ‘Suits’, which ended in 2019. ‘Suits’ received more than 12.8 billion minutes viewed across only two streaming services, making it the most-watched show for three consecutive weeks in July. Nielson has reported that the majority of the watched-minutes have been for the initial seasons of the show, meaning that they anticipate it staying towards the top of the charts for some time.
What could have made a half-decade old show rise to popularity so late… and so suddenly? That is still anyone’s guess, but the cast members, which include Gabriel Macht, Patrick J. Adams, Meghan Markle, Gina Torres, and Rick Hoffman, is certainly have something to do with the late-in-life resurgence!
