White hair is having a real moment among female celebrities, with big names like Helen Mirren, Diane Keaton, and Jamie Lee Curtis rocking the chic look.
While it’s hard to call the natural color of someone’s hair a “trend”, the look has become more normalized in recent years. White hair can be stylish, sexy, and sleek! In other words, it’s not your mother’s hair color.
Among young people, the white hair trend took hold around the end of the 2010’s, when “ashy blonde” and “Nordic white” were popular looks on social media. During the pandemic, it seemed to be less prevalent among younger women, as upkeeping white hair usually requires a stylist, but moreso among older women, who were able to embrace a more natural look.
