Last November, Elon Musk — CEO of the Tesla car company — secretly welcomed twins with Shivon Zilis, a project director at Musk’s Neuralink company. The twins entered the world just weeks before his and Grime’s baby was born, according to documents published by Insider, per PEOPLE.
While the names and sex of the twins has been redacted from the documents, we know that in April the couple asked a county court in Texas to change the names of their babies so they would have Elon Musk’s last name — and Shivon Zilis’ last name as their middle name. The judge granted their request in May.
Elon Musk is now a father to 10 children, and while he rarely discusses his own family, he has strong opinions on increasing the birth rate.
“I think one of the biggest risks to civilization is the low birth rate and the rapidly declining birthrate,” he says. “Please look at the numbers –– if people don’t have more children, civilization is going to crumble, mark my words.”
The birth of the twins came mere weeks before the birth of Musk’s and Grime’s baby girl via surrogacy. The pair had split up in September. She revealed the birth of Exa Dark Sideræl, who they’ve nicknamed Y, in a cover story for Vanity Fair. They also share a 2-year-old son which they named X Æ A-12.
At the time, Grimes admitted to wanting more babies with Musk, but the day of the article’s release, Grimes tweeted that they had broken up again.
Elon Musk’s daughter, Vivian Wilson, has been a hot topic lately with her gender transition and her dramatic announcement stating that “I no longer live with or wish to be related to my biological father in any way, shape or form.”
Elon Musk is a known transgender antagonist, famously tweeting things like “pronouns suck, and “In case you need to lose a boner fast” alongside a picture of a new emoji–a pregnant man.
Last month, Vivian was granted her request to legally change her name and gender, which she petitioned for on April 18th.
