UPDATE 10/24/2023: Sources close to Lopez and Affleck are claiming that the pair have been going to couples’ counseling in the midst of recent paparazzi photos of Affleck cuddling in a car with his ex-wife, Jennifer Garner.
The insider says: “J-Lo doesn’t begrudge Ben from having a friendship with Jennifer. She knows they have a tight bond, she doesn’t ultimately suspect he’d want to go back to her and of course she recognizes they’ll always have a need to stay in contact because of their children – it’s the exact same situation as hers is with Marc. But she makes the point that you’ll never see her cuddling up in a car with her ex, it’s simply not on and he’s sending a very strange message to the world in general if he thinks differently.
“For her, there needs to be strict ground rules moving forward. She intends to bring this up in therapy as well, and Ben won’t get her to drop it by being stubborn. She says if the shoe were on the other foot, he’d be livid too – and she’s probably not wrong!”

Sources report that “Ben’s reliance on Jen as a confidante may have crossed the line”, as Lopez allegedly screamed at Affleck that Garner is “‘your ex-wife for a reason!'”
Lopez and Affleck married for a second time in 2022. He divorced Garner in 2018.
While this tension seems to have brewed from recent photographs of Garner and Affleck appearing to kiss each other in a car, insiders also report that “everything is really good right now and should be the same in the near and distant future,” and that the group’s synergy “is actually inspiring and nice to see”.
