Since the romance between Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce became public, people have been clamoring for any hint of information on the happy couple.
Pregnancy rumors started swirling around two months into their relationship. (To set the record straight, as of the date of publication they are simply rumors!)
That said, is there any record that Taylor Swift wants kids?
Swift has been a celebrity for nearly two decades—at 33-years-old, that’s quite a feat—and her response to that question has evolved over time.
In 2012, Swift said that she wasn’t ready for children yet, but wanted “a bunch of them running around, minimum four. I want to wait a while, but the idea of pouring everything you are into another person when you become a parent has always been amazing to me.”
A year later, she addressed a nuance to that desire: “I don’t know if I’ll have kids. It’s impossible not to picture certain scenarios and how you would try to convince them that they have a normal life when, inevitably, there will be strange men pointing giant cameras at them from the time they are babies.”
While it’s impossible to know whether or not Swift wants children now, ever, or with Travis Kelce—unless you have her phone number, in which case, can I borrow it?—there is some evidence that Kelce wants children, as soon as possible.
A source claimed to Life & Style that “Travis wants them [kids] in the next year or so, and Taylor, of course, is all in. He’s exactly the guy she’s been waiting for!”, but failed to clarify further. There was also recent controversy over comments made by Kelce in conversation with his mother and brother on their podcast, in which he referred to women as “breeders”.
It is useful to note that the context was after the brothers jokingly demanded their mother to choose a son to “root for” in a battle to the death, in which the elder Kelce brother mentioned he had kids, and Travis said, “I gotta start breeding, I gotta start breeding. To all the breeders out there…”
Donna Kelce encouraged her son to “wait for the right person.”
